Welcome to the Trading Post

The Trading Post is where you'll find all kinds of gift items, toys, candy and LOTS of rough rock materials. This is also home of the Crack-your-own-Geode stations AND the Pan-for-gems area. You never know what kinds of treasures you'll find!

Some pan-for-gem buckets will contain extra special, one-of-a-kind rocks OR a coin good for a free item from our restaurant across the street. Base 2-gallon bucket price is $30. Specialty buckets will cost more.

​

Panning for gems is open Thursday - Saturday 10am to 6pm and Sunday's 12pm-6pm.

​

OPENS first Saturday in May.

CLOSES for season first Saturday in October.

You are the first person to see the crystals inside the geodes in over a million years!

 

Crack-your-own-geode offers three different types of geodes to choose from:

  • Chihuahua or Trancas Geodes 

  • Crystal Canyon

  • Crystalline Bravo

​

Prices for cracking geodes: $21/each. Cracking is free.
